Uday Kulkarni is today appreciated in the field of percussion & music world as a unique Tabla Player performing consistently all over the country. An 'A' Grade Artist of All India Radio & Doordarshan, had his advance training in Tabla under Pt.H.Somashekhar,Dr Rachayya Hiremath,Pt.Ravindra, Yavagal in the traditional Guru Shishya Parampara. Currently receiving training under world renowned Tabla maestro Pt.Anindo Chatterji .

Having specialized in the Delhi, Ajrada & Farukabad Gharana, has received training of Punjab, Banaras Gharanas & is constantly in the process of imbibing the flavors of the each Gharana. Thereby heading towards the evolution in the art.

His brilliant performances have established him as a widely as a performing artist in the country as a Tabla Soloist & preferred Accompanist to Vocal and Instrumental music. He has shared stage with stalwarts like Padmabhushan Dr. N. Rajam, Padmashree Pt.M.Venkatesh Kumar, Vidushi Alka Deo-Marulkar, Vidushi Shruti Sadolikar, Pt.Ram Deshpande, Ustad Bale Khan ji, Ustad Rafique Khan, Ustad Shafique Khan, Pt. Ganapti Bhat, Pt. Kedar Bodas, Pt. Shashank Maktedar, Vidushi Shubadha Paradkar, Pt. Ronu Mujumdar, Pt. Praveen Godkhindi, Pt. Jayateerth Mevundi & many musicians.

His creation of  “Taal Naman”,  a concept of offering a prayer to divine through Nada has been well received by the music lovers all over the Country.
